A national accreditation agency has approved initial accreditation of Des Moines Area Community College’s (DMACC’s) business programs. The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) Associate Degree Board of Commissioners has approved DMACC without any deficiencies or suggestions, which officials say is rare. ACBSP is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation as a specialized accreditation agency for business education, and has accredited 541 schools.
