DMACC event for veterans
Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) will host the first Iowa Veterans Career Retreat, “Life After Military Service: Achieve Your Education & Career Goals,” on April 4 at the DMACC Ankeny Campus. According to the Iowa Department of Veteran Affairs, 16.4 percent of Iowa National Guard members who have returned from Afghanistan in recent months are unemployed.
