Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) came in at 15th place on Community College Week magazine’s list of fastest-growing two-year colleges in America. The survey focuses on fall 2010 enrollment compared with fall 2009 enrollment.

DMACC was the only Iowa college that placed in the top 50 in the 10,000 or more students category. Three Iowa institutions were featured in the top 50 list for the 5,000 to 9,999 students category: Iowa Western Community College, Eastern Iowa Community College and Western Iowa Tech Community College.

The survey found that Iowa was No. 8 nationally for student growth in community colleges.
