At a April 14 meeting of the Des Moines Area Community College board of directors, President Rob Denson and board chair Joe Pugel honored retiring board secretary Carolyn Farlow celebrating her 20 years of service to the college. Farlow, who began her DMACC career in 2005, held leadership roles as director of institutional effectiveness and director of strategic planning before retiring from those positions in 2022. She continued to serve as board secretary until her full retirement last week. Both Denson and Pugel praised Farlow’s leadership and impact on DMACC’s growth and success. Brooke Stowe, assistant to the president, will assume the board secretary role.
