DNR to hold workshop on contaminated sites
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Kansas State University Technical Assistance to Brownfields Program are hosting a workshop June 7 for individuals interested in revitalizing underutilized properties, commonly known as brownfields. The workshop will provide attendees with the opportunity to learn about brownfield redevelopment and how it can revitalize communities, meet partners from the host organizations and learn about free tools and resources available to support brownfield redevelopment. The event is free to attend, but registration is required. Local government officials, community stakeholders and others working to promote revitalization in Iowa communities are encouraged to attend.
