Doug Dorner

UnityPoint Health-Des Moines announced that Dr. Douglas Dorner has been promoted to chief academic officer and Dr. John Yost will move into the role of vice president of Medical Education and Research. Dorner has headed the Medical Education and Research operation at UnityPoint Health-Des Moines since 1994. In the new, expanded position, Dorner will advise and support the hospital group’s efforts in advancing graduate medical education and advocacy programs. Yost, currently program director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program, will have responsibility for medical education, including the residency programs, continuing medical education, research, the Health Sciences Library and the Conference and Learning Center at UnityPoint Health-Des Moines.
