The Iowa Department of Transportation has released its 2015-2016 road map, on paper, on the Internet and through a mobile app. Hundreds of updates were made for the map, which also features city details, especially online. The state has decided to go to a two-year cycle on the print map; the online map will be updated annually. The front of the map features railroads and trails to stress that transportation isn’t just about roads. See the map online. We sat down with DOT director Paul Trombino to discuss his work on improving the transportation system to aid economic development.
