Double Up Food Bucks celebrates another successful year and technological innovations

Last year, nearly $600,000 of Double Up Food Bucks were redeemed for fresh produce, benefiting 44,248 people. The program also introduced digital technology that simplifies participation for both users and participating Double Up Food Bucks retailers. This engagement generated $826,295 worth of economic impact within Iowa. “This technological leap represents a significant milestone in the evolution of the Double Up Food Bucks program, underscoring its commitment to innovation and accessibility,” Jami Haberl, executive director of the Iowa Healthiest State Initiative, said in a prepared statement. “By leveraging cutting-edge solutions, the program continues to empower individuals, support local economies and promote healthier choices across Iowa.”
