Drake conference to focus on food policy
Food Policy, Social Justice, Hunger and Sustainability will be the focus of the fifth annual Innovation and Leadership Conference at Drake University on Friday. The conference, which is open to the public, will feature a diverse set of experts directly involved in food policy issues at the grassroots level and at the regional and national levels in production, research, teaching and advocacy. The all-day conference includes a luncheon presentation titled “Feeding Our Sustainable Future: Myths, Challenges and Opportunities” with featured speaker Professor Neil Hamilton, the Dwight D. Opperman chair of law and director of the Drake Agricultural Law Center. The $30 registration fee covers attendance, conference materials and lunch.
