Drake University, which has been in the process of selecting a new president, has scheduled a major announcement for 11 a.m. Monday in the Reading Room of Cowles Library, with Board of Trustees Chairman Larry Zimpleman presenting. A press conference follows.

Drake spokesman Aaron Jaco declined to detail the subject of Monday’s announcement, which comes in the general window of when the university expected to name a replacement for President David Maxwell, who is retiring in June.

Maxwell became Drake’s 12th president on May 15, 1999.
