Dress for Success surpasses $1 million in funding

83 wordsAll Latest News, Retail and Business, Statewide NewsQuad-City Times: Dress for Success announced it has raised more than $1 million, thanks to grant support from the Regional Development Authority, the Hubbell-Waterman Foundation, Birdies for Charity and the group’s Second Chance clothing sale in November. Since 2011, the group has raised $1,051,548. With the help of Dress for Success, more than 1,500 women have been provided free professional attire, job retention workshops and career advancement support. More than 80 percent of the women are mothers raising an average of 2.4 children.
