Jessica Dunker, president and CEO of the Iowa Restaurant Association, has been named the 2018 Inspiring Women of Iowa Courage Award recipient by the Girls Scouts of Greater Iowa. The award is given to women who showed strength and persevered in the face of fear, pain and grief. Dunker accepted the award at luncheon held April 4 in Des Moines. “I realize the courage that was required by the women who were nominated in this category and the things they’ve had to overcome in their lives, and I am so honored to be in their company,” Dunker said in her acceptance speech. “Every one of the nominees are women of courage, character and confidence.”
