Earth Day Trash Bash scheduled for April 22
Earth Day Trash Bash will take place beginning at 3:30 p.m. on April 22 at the Simon Estes Amphitheater downtown. The Des Moines Park and Recreation Department, Metro Waste Authority, Operation Downtown and the Polk County Conservation Board will present the event in recognition of the 41st anniversary of Earth Day. Live entertainment and an awards ceremony for Earth Day cleanup teams will be included. Interstate All Battery Center will also be collecting large and small batteries from residents and businesses in Greater Des Moines.
