The cities of Pleasant Hill, Bondurant and Altoona are hosting the inaugural East Polk County Manufacturing and Industrial panel discussion on Oct. 9. The free event will feature a discussion with leaders from DeeZee, Marzetti and Amazon about best practices and challenges affecting manufacturing and industrial businesses. A second panel will cover grants and other resources available through partners like Iowa Workforce Development, Des Moines Area Community College and Iowa Economic Development Authority.
