The Iowa Architectural Foundation’s popular Eat|Drink|Architecture fundraiser is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. April 27. The walking tour allows participants to explore Des Moines’ architectural gems while enjoying food and drinks from local establishments. This year’s route features a stop at Fong’s Pizza’s new location in the East Village. Proceeds from the event support the foundation’s educational programming. “The event is a fantastic way to connect people with architecture in a fun and interactive way,” Laura Porter, the foundation’s executive director, said in a news release. “Not only do guests get to explore Des Moines in a new way, but they also support our mission to inspire appreciation for design and the built environment.” Tickets are $50 and include guided access to the walking tour and food and beverage tastings at each stop.
