Energy and sustainability academy receives $10,000 grant
The Iowa Energy and Sustainability Academy (IESA) at Central Campus in Des Moines has been chosen as one of 30 organizations nationwide to receive a grant from Vernier Software & Technology LLC, an Oregon-based maker of scientific equipment. ISEA will receive a grant worth $10,000 of Vernier technology of the school’s choosing. The academy is a two-year program designed to teach students about alternative energy and environmental science with college-level instruction. Earlier this year, ISEA was awarded a $43,000 state grant by the Iowa Power Fund board.
