Erika Macias was named the 2024 Latina Publisher of the Year by the National Association of Hispanic Publications (NAHP) at its annual conference on Oct. 24. Macias is publisher of Hola America News, Hola Iowa, Hola Nebraska, and JEFAS Latinas in Business Magazine, which launched this year. She received the award for her leadership, dedication and impact on Hispanic media. Under Macias’ leadership, the publications “have increased readership, adapting to changing media consumption trends while retaining a commitment to culturally relevant, impactful journalism,” a news release said. The NAHP has more than 770 member publications, including newspapers, magazines and digital outlets, that reach a combined 15.4 million weekly readers, according to the release.
