Iowa health care leaders and policymakers will examine the major changes now unfolding in the state’s health care system at a daylong conference next month in Des Moines. “Rebalancing Health Care in the Heartland 8: Achieving Value in Tomorrow’s Health System” will be held beginning at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the Embassy Suites in Des Moines. The University of Iowa, led by its Health Sciences Policy Council, will help sponsor the discussions. The keynote speaker will be Elizabeth Teisberg, a professor at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College and senior institute associate at the Harvard Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness.
