Des Moines Area Community College will host its second-annual free STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) Festival from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 19 at the FFA Enrichment Center Atrium on the Ankeny campus. The event, for third- through eighth-graders and their families, features booths with interactive learning activities, hands-on demonstrations, make-and-takes, and presenters come from local businesses,schools and nonprofits.
