Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity will host the third annual Key Awards Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center at Veterans Memorial in downtown Des Moines. The Key Awards honor Habitat’s partners and community leaders who have supported affordable housing in Central Iowa. This year’s honorees include Citigroup Inc., Corporate Key Award; Kenneth and Bonni Newton, Individual Key Award; Polk County Housing Trust Fund, Community Key Award; Van Harden and Bonnie Lucas of WHO radio, Community Key Award; and Wes Snook, Community Key Award. Ben Bruns, Iowa State football sideline reporter and analyst for the Cyclone Radio Network, will emcee the event. Tickets can be purchased online.
