Sherman Hill, one of Des Moines’ oldest neighborhoods, will host the 39th annual Doors to the Past walking tour of historic homes on Sept 19-20 and 26-27. The tour is presented by Veridian Credit Union and will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on tour days. In addition to the featured homes, live music on the Wallace House porch at 756 16th St. will entertain guests throughout the weekend. Performers include: Max Wellman, Nick Leo Trio, Bill Matykowski and Ortonville Circus. More information and tickets can be found online.
