Event Sept. 26: PurpleStride Iowa walk for pancreatic cancer

The PurpleStride Iowa PanCAN walk is on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 9:30 a.m. at Raccoon River Park. Pancreatic cancer is expected to become the second-leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the U.S. by 2020. It is one of the deadliest cancers, with a five-year survival rate of just 7 percent. PanCAN raises funds to advance research, support patients and create hope for the pancreatic cancer community.
