Iowa Safe Schools, a nonprofit dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment to LGBTQ students, has announced that Becky Tayler will step down as executive director March 1. Tayler will remain involved with the organization as she transitions into her new role as a mental health provider. Damian J. Thompson, Iowa Safe Schools’ current director of external affairs, will serve as interim executive director, effective March 1, while a search is conducted for a permanent executive director.
