The Iowa Farm Bureau Federation (IFBF) yesterday announced its priorities for the 2011 legislative session.

Top on the list is a fiscally responsible budget to ensure a sound economy for the state. Another top priority will be strengthening legislative oversight to take away the “power-grab” by non-elected boards and commissions, such as the Environmental Protection Commission and the Electrical Examining Board, said IFBF President Craig Lang in a news release.

The IFBF listed pushing for increased funding of science-proven conservation practices as a priority.
