FBL Financial Group Inc. has named Lori Geadelmann as general counsel, effective March 1. She succeeds David McNeill, who will retire from FBL after more than 28 years with the company. FBL CEO James Brannen said McNeill “leaves behind a distinguished career at FBL Financial Group. On behalf of everyone at FBL, I wish Dave well as he moves on to the next chapter of his life.” Geadelmann, 52, joined FBL in 1993 and has held progressive leadership positions with the company over the last 25 years, most recently as vice president – assistant general counsel and corporate compliance officer. In her new role, she will be a member of FBL Financial Group’s executive management team. Geadelmann serves on the life and health guaranty association boards in Iowa, Colorado and Montana, chairing the Iowa and Colorado boards of directors. She also serves as vice president of the Iowa Insurance Institute and chairs the Life and Financial Services Committee for the Federation of Iowa Insurers.
