This year’s Festival of Trees & Lights to benefit patients and families at Blank Children’s Hospital is going virtual with the help of a downloadable app for your smartphone or tablet. The app is available for $5. It will allow participants to virtually participate in a holiday tree scavenger hunt, schedule a Zoom call with Santa, make holiday crafts and enjoy entertainment, learn cookie decorating for kids, listen to holiday storytelling and bid on silent auction trees and wreaths. New activities will be available each day Nov. 25-29. The app will be accessible through Dec. 31. Virtual activities and the scavenger hunt are available for download here. This year’s event, offered virtually to help keep people safe during the coronavirus pandemic, celebrates 76 years of caring for children at Blank Children’s Hospital, organizers said in a release.
