Fire causes extensive damage at A Dong restaurant
A Sunday morning fire at A Dong, a Vietnamese restaurant near downtown Des Moines, might have happened when some heating equipment was left on “high” overnight, one of the owners told DesMoinesRegister.com. Percy Coleman, acting shift manager with the Des Moines Fire Department, said although no one was injured, damage to the restaurant at 1511 High St. was “pretty extensive.”
