First MainStreet Insurance adds two new Iowa agencies
First MainStreet Insurance (FMSI), an affiliate of TrueNorth companies based in Cedar Rapids, has added three new agencies, including two in Iowa. Pedersen Insurance located in Nevada, Iowa joined on July 1 and Jarod Pedersen is now on First Main Street’s team. On Aug. 1, West Des Moines-based McCartan Insurance Group joined with Joel McCartan joining as a new partner. The third new agency is located in Brookings, South Dakota. FMSI was established in 2017 to offer independent agencies the opportunity to join a larger firm and access resources and carrier markets. It has agencies in Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota and Tennessee.
