The Food Bank of Iowa was recognized with the “Living Our Values” award by Feeding America at its annual conference on April 20. Food Bank of Iowa, as a member of the Disaster-Ready Midwest Region, shares the honor with two dozen other food banks for their exceptional commitment to the network, which aligns with Feeding America’s values of leadership, learning and excellence. Tami Nielsen, the vice president of operations at FBOI, represented the food bank at the conference. The award recognizes FBOI’s efforts to serve the community and exemplify Feeding America’s values.
