Forbes has released its 2024 Best Employers by State list. To create the list, Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to survey more than 160,000 employees working for companies with at least 500 people within the United States. Survey participants were asked how likely they were to recommend their employer on a scale of zero to 10. The list for Iowa includes 14 companies that were listed in the following order: Principal Financial Group, Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Ankeny Community School District, University of Iowa Healthcare, Iowa State University, Broadlawns Medical Center, Pella Corp., Mercy Medical Center, University of Iowa, state of Iowa, Des Moines Public Schools, UnityPoint Health, Cedar Rapids Community School District and Transamerica.
