Delta Dental of Iowa announced it has hired Dr. Chad Overman as its director of vision benefits. In this newly created position, Overman will provide his medical expertise to DeltaVision, Delta Dental’s expanding vision insurance program. Before his most recent role as an optometric industry consultant, Overman was director of professional relations for Walmart Inc., where he helped direct a $30 billion business with 4,000 optometrists, 18,000 pharmacists and 3,000 locations. A native Iowan and graduate of Southern College of Optometry, Overman also spent 12 years practicing optometry in Nebraska and Wisconsin. “DeltaVision serves the vision insurance needs of employers and individuals and has grown to the point where Dr. Overman’s expertise is essential to help us meet the ever changing wellness needs of Iowans,” said Jeff Russell, president and CEO of Delta Dental of Iowa.
