What are your goals in your role at your company?
As co-chair of our firm’s agribusiness practice group, my goal is to be recognized as the best law firm in the country for agribusiness, particularly in the areas of financing, mergers and acquisitions. Iowa is the leading state for agribusiness and production agriculture; it should have the best agribusiness lawyers.

What are your goals for community involvement?
Mentoring. My career has been an amazing journey because of the people who took time out of their busy lives to help me. The way to pay those mentors back is by paying it forward. My goal is to help other business professionals enjoy the same amazing journey.

What’s your biggest passion, and why?
My family because they provide me with a sense of purpose for everything I do.

What is it that drives you?
Determination and teamwork. Playing sports through college, I developed a strong sense of determination and an internal desire to succeed. Being a teammate or coworker and having others counting on me have always been a primary motivator to my hard work and resulting success.

What are your future aspirations?
I look forward to coaching my daughter in sports. Studies show that girls who play sports have better mental health, higher self-image and confidence, improved teamwork and communication skills, increased graduation rates and leadership skills that can lead to success at school and work.
