What are your goals in your role at your company?
As an attorney, I want to continue to provide high-quality legal representation with a personal touch.

What are your goals for community involvement?
It is our firm’s goal to help facilitate low-cost estate planning for every first responder in our community. They are constantly giving for us, and we want to give back to them in some small way. As a city council member, I strive to continue to help Waukee grow into one of the premier cities in the metro.

What’s your biggest passion, and why?
My biggest passion is my family, specifically getting them outdoors to experience the natural wonders our world has to offer.

What is it that drives you?

The example my dad provided growing up. I watched him work long hours, travel and even relocate to another state, all while volunteering his time at church, coaching sports and being there when I needed him. He showed me that you don’t complain about situations you don’t like, you get involved and help make them better; you continue to grow personally and professionally while still giving back with nonprofit and governmental work.

Reasons he’s a Forty:

1.) Charlie is constantly involved in the community while always making time for his family.
2.) He was elected and retained his seat on the Waukee City Council.
3.) He embodies the practice of law with a caring, human touch.
4.) He had the dedication to go back to school for his MBA and Juris Doctor while continuing to work and raise a family.
