What are your goals in your role at your company?
Bottom line: Book new business and host great events. We have an exciting year ahead with the opening of an attached Convention Center hotel and the new opportunities that opens up for our sales team. In addition, we are thrilled to showcase Greater Des Moines by hosting USATF Outdoor Championships, AAU Junior Olympic Games and the 2019 NCAA Men’s Basketball first and second rounds.

What are your goals for community involvement?
Water is in the new Wellmark YMCA pool and action is underway. I look forward to providing additional opportunities for usage and seeing lots of activity in this new community asset.

What’s your biggest passion, and why?
My family. Not only do they give me the opportunity to love, nurture, teach, coach, negotiate, experience, etc., they also provide me with the drive and encouragement to know I can accomplish anything and to dream big.

What is it that drives you?
It takes years to secure and host a successful event, so seeing the event through to the finish and being involved with a number of individuals and businesses to produce the event is rewarding. The economic impact of these events in Greater Des Moines is daily motivation.

What are your future aspirations?
Continue to serve a role in enhancing Greater Des Moines as a place to live, raise a family, visit, work or own a business for many years to come.
