What are your goals in your role at your company?
Workiva is a rapidly growing company that is positioned to meet the changing needs of organizations around the world. In 2018, I will continue to garner global, positive attention for Workiva and highlight the differences we’re making in our customers’ lives, our employees’ lives and the communities where we operate.

What are your goals for community involvement?
Art, education and equal opportunity are important to me. In 2018, I will actively support the mission of the Des Moines Playhouse. I will serve on the Diversity and Inclusion Committee at the Technology Association of Iowa and work to create a more inclusive tech landscape in Iowa.

What’s your biggest passion, and why?
I am a constant learner. I value the opportunity to grow with new experiences, to fail and try again and to help my teammates, friends and family achieve their goals. I view each new experience as an opportunity to be a better person.

What is it that drives you?
In 2007, Randy Shelton at ABC5 said in commercial production, when asked, “What’s the best thing you’ve done?” The response is, “The last thing I did.” Each new challenge is an opportunity to try harder, apply what I know, learn and grow. To be better for myself and my team.

What are your aspirations?
I will continue to be a selfless part of the movement that’s making Iowa a safer, smarter, healthier and more inclusive place to live and work. Communities thrive when members give back. Businesses thrive with diverse workforces, and everyone who can read this thrives because they know how to read.
