94 wordsAll Latest News, Arts and Culture, Real Estate and DevelopmentFridley Theatres will kick off the new year by breaking ground on a Waukee movie theater complex that will feature what is purported to be the largest Imax Laser GT screen in the state. A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. Jan. 3 for the Palm Theatre complex located north of Hickman Road between Northeast Wingate and Northeast Dartmoor drives. The multiplex also will include eight in-seat food and beverage auditoriums, Dolby Atmos sound, reserved seating, a restaurant and bar, as well as the 85-foot Imax auditorium and 75-foot Laser XL Digital auditorium.
