Top leaders from 27 area businesses will spend much of Wednesday building houses during Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity’s CEO Build. The CEO Build is an annual fundraising event that brings together CEOs to help transform the community. Participants have each made a commitment of time and philanthropy to help advance affordable housing in Central Iowa. “Like bridges and roads, affordable housing is an investment in a community’s infrastructure,” Zac Voss of Voss Distributing, co-chair of the CEO Build, said in a prepared statement. “Housing affordability supports local jobs and attracts and retains workers – critical to a community’s long-term economic success.” The CEO Build will take place in the Capitol View South neighborhood in Des Moines.
