Hadden honored for waste management work
Metro Waste Authority (MWA) Executive Director Thomas Hadden was honored yesterday with the Outstanding Professional Achievement Award from the Iowa Society of Solid Waste Operations.
Hadden has been the head of MWA for 15 years, and has implemented a number of recycling programs, including a yard waste program, a household hazardous waste program and an asphalt shingles recycling program. He has also lobbied for smarter regulations in Iowa landfills.
