NCMIC Group Inc. announced that Chick Herbert has joined the Clive-based insurer as senior vice president of enterprise organizational development. In this role, Herbert will be responsible for improving organizational performance by developing people and processes. He has nearly 30 years of experience as an executive business leader, independent consultant, speaker and executive coach. Most recently, he was senior vice president of customer experience for Wells Fargo Retail Services. He is the co-author of “It Begs the Question – Learn How the Best Managers Drive Performance Through Question-Centric Coaching,” which he wrote with Mike McCoy, who joined NCMIC in March 2017 as CEO. Herbert is a past board chair for Special Olympics Iowa and was recognized as the 2013 statewide volunteer of the year. He recently accepted a leadership role with Iowa Women Lead Change. NCMIC specializes in medical malpractice insurance and financial and insurance products for medical professionals and small businesses.
