Tipsy Nails, a new high-end salon operated by Nguyen Luong, will open in 2,400 square feet of ground-level commercial space in LINC at Gray’s Station, located at 11th Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway just south of downtown Des Moines. Tipsy Nails, which will open sometime in 2021, will offer pedicures, manicures, skin care services and nail designs. “Tipsy Nails will have everything you would expect with a touch of high-end options like massages and eyelash services at our new location,” Luong said in a prepared statement. “We are very happy to be one of the first businesses to be opening in Gray’s Station.” Luong and his family own and operate Nails, a salon at Cityville on 9th, which will remain open. LINC at Gray’s Station is a 227- rental apartment and townhome community being developed by Hubbell Realty Co. Tipsy Nails is the third business to announce plans to open in the retail space that fronts ML King Parkway. Mad Meatball and Craft Bru DSM also have announced plans to open establishments in the commercial space.
