Hill named head of homeland security in Iowa
Brigadier General J. Derek Hill of the Iowa Air National Guard will serve as the Homeland Security Advisor to Gov.-elect Terry Branstad, and will serve as head of Iowa Homeland Security and Emergency Management in the Branstad administration.
Hill currently serves as the Iowa Air National Guard’s assistant adjutant general for strategic development, and previously served as the chief of staff and director of staff for the organization.
