Minnesota-based CPA and wealth management firm BerganKDV Ltd. has named Dave Hinnenkamp as CEO, effective July 1. Hinnenkamp is currently BerganKDV’s wealth management partner-in-charge, a position he has held with the firm for the past 16 years. He will succeed Loren Viere, a 40-year veteran of the firm, who will continue to serve clients and consult on merger and acquisition activity. Hinnenkamp began his career at BerganKDV in 1984 as a staff accountant and rose through the ranks to become partner in 1992. In 2002, Hinnenkamp was responsible for the launch of BerganKDV Wealth Management LLC as a startup entity. The firm, which is approaching $60 million in net revenues, operates Iowa offices in Johnston, Cedar Rapids, Coralville and Waterloo. Hinnenkamp will continue to be based at the firm’s St. Cloud, Minn., branch, overseeing BerganKDV’s locations throughout Iowa and Minnesota.
