Holmes Murphy announced it has added a new office in Lincoln, Neb., its second in the state. Before this new location, the West Des Moines-based insurance broker had one Nebraska office in Omaha for 23 years, a news release said. “As local insurance agencies in town have sold out to outside competitors, we believe the business community wants to partner with companies who are excellent at what they do and are invested in the long-term interest of Lincoln through local ownership,” said Cameron Burt, Holmes Murphy’s Nebraska market leader, in a prepared statement. With the new office located near University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the Nebraska Innovations Commons facility, the company aims to recruit talent coming out of the university, the release said. Holmes Murphy has a total of 15 offices in 11 states.
