HomeGrown is the second tenant to open in the building, located at 555 17th St. Big Grove Brewery and Taproom opened in July and Des Moines-based marketing firm Trilix announced in November it would relocate its offices to the building.
“With every business that joins the building, Des Moines residents get a new space to come together as a community, and HomeGrown’s made-from-scratch menu is a fitting addition to the neighborhood’s dining roster,” Nate Easter, director of commercial development at Krause+, said in a news release.
HomeGrown was established by Jon and Lauren Rolph in 2017. The restaurant serves breakfast favorites with locally sourced ingredients.
“We’re thrilled to open our doors to the Des Moines community, and couldn’t be happier to call the renovated Crescent Building home,” said Jon Rolph, president and CEO of Thrive Restaurant Group, which owns HomeGrown.
The Crescent Building location is the group’s sixth restaurant. There are two locations in Kansas City and three locations in Wichita. The restaurant will be open every day from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
