Homesteaders Life Co. announced that Joan Schoborg has been named regional director for the company’s home office in West Des Moines. Schoborg fills a role previously held by Karen King, who is retiring after 46 years with the company. Schoborg joined Homesteaders 16 years ago as a member of the customer service team. In 2009, she helped expand Homesteaders’ account executive program by becoming its first home office account executive. For the last nine years, she has called on funeral home customers and prospects throughout the country, developing and deploying customized plans to help grow their pre-need programs.
