Homesteaders Life Co., a West Des Moines insurer, announced it will launch a new line of its Assurance pre-need funeral insurance products. The new product line, which will be available beginning June 1, will replace the company’s original Assurance line it began selling in 1991. The pre-need plan features include compound or simple growth options and affordable premiums, and will make it easier for funeral home directors to determine which features best fit customers’ needs, Homesteaders said in a release. The older Assurance products will no longer be available after Dec. 31.
