Representatives from Holmes Hyundai and Hyundai Motor America on Monday presented a $100,000 Hope on Wheels grant to Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines.

The donation will be used to start a pediatric cancer survivorship program at the hospital.

The new program will be the first of its kind in Iowa, Blank officials said, and will provide long-range follow-up for survivors of childhood cancers.

By the end of this year, the Hope on Wheels program (www.hyundaihopeonwheels.org) is scheduled to have donated more than $23 million to children’s hospitals nationwide since its inception in 1998.
