IBA honors Miller with leadership award
Leslie Miller of Iowa State Savings Bank in Knoxville was presented with the James A. Leach Leadership Award at the Iowa Bankers Association annual convention held on Sept. 18. The IBA created the award in Leach’s name in 2000 following the congressman’s term as chairman of the U.S. House Banking Committee. IBA President and CEO John Sorensen called Miller an “industry leader in the development of farm financial standards and, more broadly, in financing agriculture in Iowa.” Miller has spent more than 40 years working in the banking industry with a focus on agricultural lending and currently serves as vice president for Iowa State Savings Bank.
