Public input is being sought for a project that would rebuild southbound lanes of Interstate 35 from Iowa Highway 92 to just south of the North River in Warren County. It would also include replacing the Hoover Street Bridge overhead and improvements to existing pipe culverts. It is a continuation of the I-35 corridor projects in Warren County, and connects work already done at the Iowa 92 interchange and North River bridge. It is scheduled for 2023, according to a release from the Iowa Department of Transportation. Traffic on I-35 will be maintained on existing southbound lanes while the new lanes are built. According to the IDOT release, there will be limited closures of I-35 for the Hoover Street bridge removal and to set beams for a new bridge. The deadline to submit comments or questions is Nov. 12.
