Intel Corp. CEO Paul Otellini will be named to a panel of experts advising President Barack Obama, according to Reuters. Otellini will join Obama’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, created in January to focus on hiring and promotional growth.

Obama also met with Apple Inc. CEO Steve Jobs, Facebook Inc. founder Mark Zuckerberg, Google Inc. CEO Eric Schmidt and Oracle CEO Larry Ellison among other members in Silicon Valley yesterday in a meeting to discuss ways to invest in innovation and promote private-sector job growth.
